Would you Believe Get Smart is back!  Those of us that remember Get Smart the TV show will definitely enjoy reminiscing a bit by seeing the movie.  Personally I am a fan of the TV show and loved the new movie.  It was fun picking out Maxwell Smart’s (Steve Carell) famous catch phrases such as, “Sorry about that Chief”, “The Old _____ Trick” along with some of the other famous phrases.

The opening scenes are fun with the phone booth.  The movie does get a bit slow at times but the action scenes make up for it with their humor.  The Chief was performed well by Alan Arkin.  He didn’t over act the part and made it believable.  Agent 99 (Anne Hathaway) made the part her own.  I would have liked to see the part of Agent 99 a little bit warmer or emotional as it was in the TV show but it didn’t lack chemistry.

Max’s mission in the movie is to destroy the latest plot cooked up by the crime syndicate KAOS.  The CONTROL headquarters is attacked and the identities of CONTROL’s secret agents are compromised so the Chief has no choice but to promote Max.  Max gets assigned to work with Agent 99.

Agent 23, (Dwayne Johnson), gets thrown into the mix and of course there are the wonderful cast of evil villains KAOS operative Siegfried (Terence Stamp) and Shtarker (Ken Davitan).

The creative spy gadgets are a must see and contribute to the humor of the movie.  If you still like bumbling spies, don’t miss seeing “Get Smart”.
